Follow these steps to set up a school device:

  1. Go into the child profile with the device you'd like to set as a school device.
  2. Tap the center of the device, this will extend the device profile.
  3. Select the checkbox option for school device.
  4. Next, go to the child settings and open the "Screentime Settings" tab.
  5. Set the school hours - so that the screentime settings still apply to the school device outside of school.

Now this device will not be affected by the child's screen time settings, when it is being used during school.

The screen time of a device while it is a school device will not be added to the cumulative screentime. After school hours however the devices screen time will start counting towards the cumulative screentime.
